Review on Irish Jig 3's Makeup Party, Pictures, and Videos!

I love Arizona's Rave Scene!

Everything started just four hours after I went to bed at 11am (I went to bed from the Icehouse at 7am) We all got our shit together and met up at Leighann's house like we did the last time. The thing about taking new people is most people aren't used to the "Drive there, rave, and come back" routine we normally do...and Leighann (Seraph)and John (Riskbreaker) are no different. They first wanted to hit up Wally World for supplies. We went to Wal-Mart, and John just like, handed me a red ball that said "Very Cherry" on it and I immediately started playing with it. We ran around the store looking for various snacks and such, and we finally bought a bell for the inside joke "WIKIEUP! *BING!*" that we always do. It was funny asking where it was, because the attendant was searching around for a second..then stopped and was like "wait...I think I hear a bell!" it was Leighann walkin down the isle with the bell in her hand and it would go *BING!* every single time she took a step haha. As we left the place they noticed I was still playing with the ball...Keith (SuPeR K!)was like "Did you just seriously buy that ball?" and I'm like "Heck yes I did!" haha.
From there, we went to Food For Less and Picked up a bottle of Jameson Whiskey and Bailey's Irish Creme (for Irish Car Bombs later) and some other shit. Then we were finally on our way.
The whole way was so entertaining. We actually stoped in Kingman for a bite to eat too, which took us even longer to get to Phoenix but we had so much fun on the way. Lots and lots of inside jokes were made and traditions were had. For instance, one of the jokes is Keith constantly screaming about a green piece of duct tape on his toe...and later everyone somehow had one. We became "The Green Toe Mafia" haha. We stopped in WikieUP! *BING!* like we always do at the only gas station there, and they all picked up Frog Whistles like the one I bought on the way to Kindergarten and I bought this little Bear Hammer thingy that squeaked when it hit you haha it's awesome.
We arrived in Phoenix and were screaming to jump up out of the car on the way to Casey's house because the 5 and a half to 6 hour drive always drives us nuts RIGHT BEFORE we're about to get to where we gotta go. We arrive at Casey's (Dj Starr) house and say hi to those we knew and met up with some new people there including the cute little Onica (Dj Jimni Cricket) from Seattle they booked and flew out there. At Casey's house someone called and said the party got shut down by the cops, so we started immediately triyng to plan out what to do...then someone called again and said the party was still on, so we had a raver train goin on heading to the spot...when the lead car led the train to a bar/restaurant. The party got shut down permanently. We all went into the restaurant in full raver gear and had a couple drinks before heading to James' (Rise) house. I haven't been in full raver gear in public in quite the looong time. I was decked out in Kandi, SuPeR K! had his giant bright green cape on, and even Jimni Cricket was wearing this giant Caterpillar costume among everyone else ready for the rave. It was so funny watching everyone in the restaurant looking at us and mumbling to themselves in shock and awe haha. We even got some sort of comment across the parking lot shouted to us which was something along the lines of "I love ravers!!" or whatever I don't remember.
When we got to Rise and Becky's house, we all had a few drinks and tried to figure out what to do...when someone else called and said there was a makeup party going on at this house which had a decently big backyard. They were lookin for what Djs were supposed to be at the original party and asked us to come. Everyone was having a great time at this little Raver House and both SuPeR K! and Jimni Cricket got to spin among others. The only two that didn't get to spin were Dj Starr and Rise because some new Dj was all whining and shit about spinning earlier so they bumped em. Starr got SO pissed at it (partly cuz he was drunk) and tried to sabotage the party right at SuPeR K!'s last track. It partly worked cuz even though everyone was shouting "Some dick just made it up! Rave on!" there weren't as many people for that whiny kid's set. I mean, it WAS freakin 5am by this point...
We left the party around 5:30 and headed back to Rise and Becky's place (I say 'we' when referring to about 14 of us) without wanting to go to bed at all just yet. Keith drank 95% of what was left of the bottle of Jameson and everyone got drunk off of various alcohol available because after all it was St. Patty's Day! (actually the 18th but yeah it was still the night for us haha) Everyone fell asleep for a couple hours around 9 with the exception of me and like two others. I explored the immediate area which was nice and everyone had a great time. When everyone woke up and met up and shit, we all sat around for a few hours relaxing and chatting it up before the 4 of us IRBIA kids had to say goodbye to the Cheddarcore Crew (that's their version of the Eraver crew here in Vegas...literally they were exactly the same haha) and head back. I was ready to die cuz I hadn't slept any by this point, but by 7pm (we left at like 5pm) after a two hour nap in the car I was awake and we all were listening to really old club anthems and feeling super nostalgic and talkin about old times. 10pm rolls around and we finally make it to the Hoover Dam. We played around there and that's where I found this funny thing on the wall I had to pose with that said "Danger! Keep Off Wall!" haha the Hoover Dam doesn't like me! We finally got back to Seraph's and all drove home. I lost my glowsticks I was using at the rave, and so I lit one in honor of the glowstick I lost for my Raver Chain because believe me that Makeup Party was as much a rave as anything Vegas could possibly hope to offer. That's the second time I had to use a "Honor Stick" on my Raver Chain, the first time was for Monster Massive when Customs threw out my dead glowstick because they said it had too much liquid in it (the damn 3oz rule or whatever, I should have fought it) and I hate doing it but whatevs. Keith and Onica tore up the place that night man, it was great. The other Djs were pretty damn good too, but of course I only cared about those two spinning. 95% of the night was Happy Hardcore considering just how big AZ's Hardcore scene is there.
Overall? I had a really great time. I felt welcome, happy, and extremely close to these people I have only seen and talked to a few times. I would've liked to go to the actual rave that we headed down there for (Sorry it got busted Strawberry and Irish!) but everything we did that night made up for it anyway!
